To get in you need a pulse and can get money to them (which is a higher requirement than Stark so at least it has that going for it). If you want to get in take the ACT, it doesn't matter if you do terribly or not, but the better you do the more money you get from scholarships.

The University of Akron has a 96% acceptance rate. All I did was apply. Unless you've failed every class you've ever taken as a high school student, you will be admitted.

There are some prerequisites that need to be metAug 07 2016Nursing
There are some prerequisites that need to be met to get into the direct admit pre nursing program. I know one of them is a 22 ACT and then there may be two other prereqs. I recommend taking college credits (post secondary option) classes your senior year of high school if it is offered through Tri-C. I was able to get math, both psychologies, and both English 1 & 2 out of the way before going away to college. This helped me get into the actual nursing program my sophomore year (not pre nursing). This sets you up for success since the first year of the program (pre nursing) includes A&P 1&2, Chem 1&2, both english, and also math which overwhelmed many peers that didn't get into the nursing program the following year. Some students chose the 5 year if they didn't do PSO. I chose the 4 year since I got 20 credits out of the way already.
