I worked hard during high school to get in. I played Varsity sports, was on the Principle's honor rolll for four years, took AP classes, joines scholastic clubs, and got a satisfactory SAT score. Prove to Berkeley you'll do well with a degree from their institution and they'll let you in. Geography and Geosciences

I went to community college and earned very good grades, which allowed me to transfer. Many of my friends were rejected right out of high school simply because their SATs weren't good enough (sub 1300). I think it is easier to get in from community college, since there tend to be fewer "4.0" students applying, and they can base their decisions on something more than the slight SAT differences that differentiate the hundreds of high school students with 4.0 GPAs who apply. 1400 SAT, 730/640/710 SATII, 3.95 weighted GPA, middle-college high school, in-state, mad work on personal statement - i failed calculus junior year, so that was really embarassing...i wrote about what i learned from that experience, and i think that is what got me in - i got a second chance...be real on your app...and JC courses help |
