stay away.. I have attended 2 other schools prior to attending UCCS, this school is just run by people who are focused on growth of the school rather than their students. Administrators are money hungry and don't care about student needs. They will practically accept anyone just to get your money.

I first attended a community college, so the application process wasn't too difficult for me since I had my transcripts from the community college. I filled out an application and paid the fee.
Admissions is terrible and uninformativeDec 19 2013Video/Media
Admissions is terrible and uninformative. I received a letter of acceptance 5 months after submitting my application. Then when I went to orientation I found out I wasn't even accepted into the program I requested. when I contacted them about this I was told "You should have received a letter with your acceptance letter, I have attached a copy for you" the letter goes on to state that they had decided to admit me as pre-engineering first and that i would have to reapply for my degree program a semester to a year into my classes. If you are going to live on campus you don't find out your housing details till about a week and a half before you are supposed to move in.

I just worked hard and did my homework. If you have good grades and have shown that you are a dedicated student, you will get in.
ACT: 26 Male
I transfered after graduating from the local community collegeAug 17 2010Anthropology
I transfered after graduating from the local community college. I didn't have to do anything special. I think anyone can get in to UCCS. The student body isn't particularly bright.
