Decent grades, ACT score and essay. This school does not really care about your ECs so just focus on your stats.

I didn't do too well in high school. It's so easy to get into this school. You don't have to do anything.

Don't go to UCSCSep 05 2015Anthropology
Don't go to UCSC. I have a 3.0 GPA, not bad, not the best - so my advice to NOT attend does not come from feeling disgruntled about my academic performance at all.

Just don't even bother. It is not worth the money nor stress outside of your studies.

I mean I just wrote a rant about whatDec 30 2014Biology
I mean I just wrote a rant about what I hate about this college so I don't think I should be giving this type of advice for UCSC? but here's some general advice for personal statements and whatnot: Don't groom it too much or else it'll lose it's flavor and spark and your personal touch. Make sure it comes from your heart? It doesn't have to be a sob story, maybe a revelation you had while helping someone else or something you desperately want to achieve. Colleges like leadership too so if you can tie that in there with your idea that'd be great. Have an awesome time!
