A 3.2 GPA and decent (1100+) SATs will probably get you in.

Getting in is stereotypically "easy" but that is because they take many factors into consideration when looking over an application. They take into consideration where you come from as in what kind of school you went to, etc. Also not to mention they look at your grades in a hard core way, if your grades aren't above a 3.0 you still might have chance of getting in if you have stood out above the crowd in any other way

i did poorly on my SATs and I had a B average GPA back in high school. Do shitty and you still get in, but because of those budget cuts, UCSC is shuttin down on this system of allowing every person to get in. Yeah, go to junior college and transfer into UCB or Davis.

I was about a 3.2 transfer student from PCC and was accepted to UCI and UCSC and CPP. SC FTW.

Lots of preparation in high school. Recommend others focus on the material and forget about grades if only for your self-esteem.
English
I got decent grades, I visited the campus and decided I liked it. There really wasn't a problem in being accepted.
