The University of Hartford - How to Get into Undergraduate UH
</a>
As a music major, I had to pass an audition and interview to get in. It's tough, but not that tough. I've heard that the University at large is upping its admissions standards, but it's no elite school.
My program, musical theatre, required an audition as well as a general application to the university. The audition process included to contrasting musical theatre songs (32 bars each) and a 1 minutes monologue. I think they've added a dance audition since. There was also a brief interview. Advice would be to have good recommendations and to "sell yourself" in the audition/interview. They want to see who you are and what you can bring to the school.
