Do good on your SAT scores and try to make as many a's as possible. I didn't have any clubs or organizations that I was apart of in HS so that shouldn't be an issue. Just make sure your grades and SAT score are up to par and you will become a cougar sooner or later:)

U of H is easy to get into. If you want a job, do something with math or science. Too many people are getting history or English degrees to find work after school. So many Houstonians have ties to U of H that if you graduate with decent grades in a competitive field you can absolutely find work. Being yet another Art Major ain't gonna do it. Sorry.

Have good, solid grades and test scores. Getting in is not that hard at all, but don't think that means it will be easy to stay! So enjoy the easy admission process, but be ready to work when you get to campus.

Admission standards are quite leniant.

For Honors, I think if your SAT is over 2050-2100 you are pretty much a shoo-in. My HS grades were very bad for Junior year and my UW GPA was a 2.8ish but my SAT scores were great, so I showed promise.

Top 25%, I think gets auto admission at the university. However, if you are top 10% with a CR and M totalling over 1300, then you get GREAT scholarship packages.
