All I did was send in my high schoolNov 16 2016Education
All I did was send in my high school transcript and SAT, with no supplemental material. I was accepted with an $8000 scholarship ($1000 per semester for 8 semesters) simply for my high school GPA-- a kind of, "wow, why are you coming here" scholarship I guess. I don't recall because of the weighting scale at my high school but I think it was 3.84 or something. I also got a 2150 on the SAT but you do not have to do well to get in here, they accept almost everyone. I don't recommend going here even if you can't get in anywhere else, but you could probably get in if you wanted to no matter who you are.

Do well on the ACT and apply as early as possibleSep 08 2014Engineering Department
Do well on the ACT and apply as early as possible. You can get in with 24's, but aim for at LEAST 26. You are guaranteed a position with 29+.

I recommend if you are having a hard timeMay 24 2013Architecture
I recommend if you are having a hard time getting accepted at UHM or another Hawaii State University, start at the community college or night school at UHM. Anyone can enroll in classes without having been accepted to a degree program. My department was very difficult to get into, but after taking a semester of core classes and another semester of my intended major classes that were open to all students as part of a Liberal Arts Degree, I was finally accepted into my program.
