Tips mention:
Interview (1),
ACT/SAT (27),
Grades (5),
Sports (0),
Essay (11) | Have a good essay. You can have an average ACT score. Pretty easy to get in, and I think that's a great thing! I like schools that take chances on students who want to pursue a quality education but maybe didn't score a 28 on the ACT or have a 3.5 GPA. I think its good that the college caters to inner-city kids who might have had a difficult time getting into a quality school somewhere else. Once you are in, you have earn your place. I don't think the school cuts corners.Administration could use some help. LAS administration is not so good. Business School appeared to be of higher quality and more friendly. I thought the people who work in the SSB were great!
Language - French/Spanish/etc.
| Oct 06 2012 | I took an ACT prep course. I wish I had prepped for the SAT also, but I think I just gave up on the SAT when I started prep for the ACT. I recommend that students spend the summers after 10th and 11th grade preparing for the ACT. It is never to early to prepare. Also, high school students should volunteer around their communities to explore interests. If you have some idea of your areas of interest you'll have an easier time choosing which college student organizations to join. You'll develop college support systems and life-long friendships, and you will find your time in college very profitable. I got in because of my GPA, teacher recs, and ACT lol i think a 24 qualifies you for scholarships.Just get a 24 on your act and have decent grades (3.0 and up)and you're for sure in. If yours is lower, say why in your essay. Some people here for sure have low high school GPA's so it's not impossible |
