Tips mention:
Interview (1),
ACT/SAT (56),
Grades (22),
Sports (13),
Essay (20) | It comes down largely to class rank and ACT/SAT. Agriculture/Horticulture | Oct 29 2004 | I would recommend contacting on of the professors I mentioned earlier. If you have adequate test scores, and average to decent grades, you should have no problem. Aerospace Engineering | Jul 28 2004 | If you want to get in and don't think your grades / ACT scores are good enough for your preffered major, just pick a less rigorous one, like something in LAS, if you do well in your gen-eds, you should be able to transfer into your department junior year Business - Management and Administration
| Jul 20 2004 | I did well in high school and I did well on the ACT. I got a 29, but could've gotten a higher score if I took it more than once. I think the minimum ACT score to get in here got raised, so if you're not at a 30 or above, take the ACT again. Also, get involved in your high school. I was involved in a few clubs in high school and that not only helps on your application, it also helps in learning how to make new friends. If you're like me, then you're coming into U of I not knowing anyone. Being in those clubs helps in learning how to interact with people you do not know. |
