I was a transfer student from South West TN Community College. The majority of my credits transferred, but you have to be careful about taking to many 1000 and 2000 courses at other institutions. I took a 2000 level child psychology course at South West and got an A, but UofM would not accept it because their child psychology course is at 3000 level. If you are planning to transferring talk not only to an advisor at your school about credit, make an appointment with a UofM adviser before you enroll to make sure you don't waste any time with non-transferable credits.
