Tips mention:
Interview (0),
ACT/SAT (60),
Grades (31),
Sports (6),
Essay (33) | Getting in was pretty simple, I just got a good score on my ACT and was involved in a lot of extra curriculars. I don't know how much weight they put on the essays you write for your application, but they're short and the usual kind of college bs, like "how have you experienced diversity in your life", etc etc. To get in, I reccommend you retake the ACT a few times to get your best possible score, join some clubs at school, and learn how to write (or bs) good essays about "life changing experiences". | Apr 08 2009 | I don't think it is that difficult to get in, put up a 32 act 3.9, one or two high school extra curricular activities and magic happens everytime. Ross B-School Pre-admit is a BITCH- the profile ideally should include 1520+ on math/verbal, a business that makes money or better yet is in the 'helping buisness' , my brother actually go in, but he did not get a satisfactory scholarship- He is at MIT right now- in fact, I think he might be a bad example because I am not sure anyone actually is as impressive here; that you might meet on a regular basis.
REMEMBER on the essay
don't be selfish sounding... ect.PS I actually transferred from LSA to Engineering- fun story Write passionate essays! Also, apply to the honors program even if you're not invited, and write passionate essays for their application too! I wasn't invited and was below the average test scores for the honors program, but I chose to apply anyways, wrote the essays like my life depended on their brilliance, and got in! Have a fabulous personal essay. Be different and authentic. |
