There are a few pretest you have to take to enter the University, if you are taking AP courses in high school you should be able to test very well.

Make friends and be happy here, else get abosorbed in a wrold of studies. Fail to do these, you are going to have a rough time.

Just apply, pretty open to most students wanting an education.
English
I came to the University as a tranfer student from Western Michigan University and found the coursework to be more challenging and engaging in Flint. When I applied I also requested a meeting with an admissions officer-which introduced me to the University and vice versa.
Nursing
Easy to get in, tough to stay in.

Study your Butt off In HS, they do refuse applicants (personally seen one refused). Also just an FYI Once you are in the grading system is the same as Ann arbor and Incidentally is the strictest grading system in the state, I.E., to get a 4.0 will entail actual work not just showing up and BS-ing your way through it.

Political Science
My ACT scores originally weren't high enough and I didn't have the desired courseload in high school, so I went to community college to bring grades up. Then i applied.
Art & Design Department
UM-Flint's standards aren't exactly demanding enough to warrant my pretending I did anything special to get in.
