Interview (0),

Grades (1),

Essay (0) | Seriously this is hands down THEE WORST SCHOOL OF ALL TIME. If you are a student who lives at home, doesn't have a job, and all you do is focus on school- you MIGHT make it. This school has unrealistic ideals on how their students should be. 90% of the classes you will take, you will have a work load of a full course load in one class. 90% of the teachers think their class is the only one you should be concerned with, they won't help you if you're struggling, and its been known for a professor to literally laugh at how badly you are doing. At UMKC you are a number, you aren't a name. You are a paycheck for the university and thats it. To make matters worse, they have thee worst staff of all time. You will be transferred to numerous people for the same question, no one will help you, you'll be put on hold, no one will listen to your actual question and you'll be going in circles for hours, and finally when you think you've made progress- they'll say they need to call you back. The financial aid here is impossible, they have incredible loop holes they find so that they can basically rob you off all dignity and cash you have. This school will literally rip all hope, faith, and pride you have in yourself and your learning abilities. Save yourself the hassle, time, money, and GPA- DO NOT GO TO UMKC. PreDent and Dentistry
| Aug 09 2011 | Applying to the dental program, if you are an adult, is an utter joke. I'm not sure what they are looking for, but it is not for someone who has worked in the dental field for over 15 years with great grades, especially in biology courses, who has the opportunity to give back to the community by working in a local dentist office that caters to the poor in the KC community. They didn't even acknowledge that I had applied. When I observed at the school, most of the students didn't know names of the hand pieces. Perhaps they aren't interested in admitting those that will be successful in the coursework or provide a community service in practice? Business - Management and Administration
