UMaine has rolling admissions, which is very convenient for transfer students. I withdrew from my last school in June, applied to UMaine in July, and started classes about 3 weeks after I was accepted. The application is online and much simpler than the applications for other schools I applied to in high school.
For an instate student to get in, you have to be in the top half of your high school class, and have SAT scores above 400 in the verbal and math subjects. Out of state students get in no matter what in most cases.
