| | Definitely get involved at your high school---grades are NOT everything! Colleges like to see that you are active around your community! Do some community service, join a club or a sport and stick to it throughout high school. Make sure you get good letters of recommendation from teachers who really know you and try to have a unique essay. Colleges review thousands of applications, so you want to write something that will stand out to the admissions faculty. If you can get an interview that is a great way for admissions to get to know you and for you to ask more personal questions about the campus! SAT scores are not everything--try your best, but good grades and an active resume will hold more weight!
