I was a transfer student from the SD areaMay 21 2014Economics
I was a transfer student from the SD area. It is not that difficult to get in if you are in county. Otherwise I believe it is a lot more competative. That said, I thought when I got here that I would be interacting with a more sophisticated student body in regards to economic , geo political and socio economic perspective. Ya well I guess that was an unrealistic expectation.
3.9 cumulative GPAJul 02 2008Economics
3.9 cumulative GPA. 3.8 GPA junior and senior years. High SAT.
SAT: 2240 Male
Be persistent and don't lose hopeFeb 06 2006Fine Arts - Painting/Sculpture/Photography/etc
be persistent and don't lose hope. the numbers are all that matter, which isn't fair and which i personally don't believe accurately reflects squat about a person's level of intelligence. i was a winter admit (not good enough to get a spot in the fall) but hey, i stiill got in. if you really want to be here, but your numbers aren't up to par, just keep trying.
I did a lot of activities in high school,Mar 30 2005Electrical Engineering
I did a lot of activities in high school, focused on football for 4 years, did a lot of music stuff, SAT I = 1520, sum three SAT II scores > 2250, took an ambitious course load (with mixed results) and ended up here. I recommend other students considering coming here to ask people who actually enjoy(ed) their experience here for a more complete, unbiased viewpoint, as I am somewhat miserable being here.
SAT: 1500 Male
I did what pretty much every high school studentOct 14 2004Computer Science
I did what pretty much every high school student does. I got involved in extracurricular activities, took AP classes, took the SATs & SAT 2's. You don't really need to do anything different than what you have to do to get into any reputable university.
