My suggestion is to be prepared for the classicAug 30 2017PreMed and Medical
My suggestion is to be prepared for the classic bait and switch. Freshman year package was very attractive. After being on campus for over a month, I was informed of a change to my FA package. Argued, appealed to no avail. Second year, one day before move in. Same thing. At the very least, the people in the FA department don't give to shits about anyone. After my rejected appeal last year, they suggested I enroll elsewhere if I didn't like it. It would appear the "process" they seem so proud of is completely arbitrary. BTW, the freshman dorms look great.. wait until you see your Soph housing! Be prepared and have an immediate backup plan.

While my SAT was mediocre (2120), my GPA wasDec 05 2016Computer Science
While my SAT was mediocre (2120), my GPA was relatively terrible, being around 3.3 (although I had a 3.8/4.3 senior year). I had done internships, competed in international competitions, and did a bunch of stuff inside school that was related to my intended major. Although I didn't do one, doing the optional interview should really increase your chance of getting in.

It's a highly competitive school. You need the grades and the test scores.

Easy to get inFeb 18 2016Chemical Engineering
Easy to get in. Do an interview and you'll get in. They tend to give a lot of money. Do not go to this school. The University does not handle things well at all. Students who have verbal assault and sexual assault charges have nothing done to them if they have a parent working at this school.

One of the application questions specifically asks if you have a connection to the University and how that connection motivated you to apply. So you have a better chance of getting in if you know an alum personally.
