Get an excellent GPA in high school. Rank also matters. Take as many APs as possible. Rigor matters and can be a deal breaker. Join at least two clubs in school and be heavily involved in them throughout high school. Leadership and community service is a must. Take a sport or at least get in shape because there is a fitness test on the application. Not to mention, swab summer will include good fitness. Get close to a few teachers to write you excellent recommendations. Start talking to an admissions officer early and do your best to get into AIM your junior year. Finally, don't give up. If you don't get in the first time, apply again. Persistence and perseverance is a strong trait at the academy and will weigh heavily in their decision,

I was involved in everything in high school. My grades were good and I was an outstanding athlete. You need to give part of yourself before you can think about coming here. It isn't a place for selfish people, we all work together and graduate as a cohesive unit.
