</a> | Forward me! | |
USF says: "USF
looks at students based on strength of high school academic
courses, grades, test scores and leadership. " | | Students who got into USF say: | |
Tips mention:
Interview (2),
ACT/SAT (25),
Grades (7),
Sports (1),
Essay (5) | When I was in HS. I always made honor roll, I took part in extra curricular activities in everything from Honor Society & Drug Awareness to SGA and Senior Class Council. I took dual enrollment classes at the community college and I started studying for my Sat's the fall of my Junior year, took them in June, applied to USF before my Senior Year of HS even started and got accepted by September of my Senior Year. For any student, I would schedule a visit, see the school the campus, the city, talk to students there and talk to professors. AP classes are nice but if they are going to be a requirement for your major don't take them because they will only count as an elective. It's better to take dual enrollment. At the time USF didn't require an essay and an on campus interview was optional. I didn't do the essay but I definitely opted for the face to face interview because there are things the body language when combined with tone can do that being on the phone a lone or vial a letter simply can't. | Jan 16 2012 | Got in summer. 3.4 recalculated GPA (3.0 UW), 1170/1700 SAT, no essay, sports, 75 hours. I think I barely got in, theres also a chart somewhere online that shows whether you'll get in or not Business - Management and Administration
| Oct 07 2011 | I received my Associate in Arts degree from a Florida Community College and was accepted. If you get your Associates degree from a Florida C.C. you are given priority admission. I highly recommend it since you actually SAVE MONEY that way and when you are finished it gives you a shoe into the university. GO BULLS! Political Science
| Mar 06 2011 | Used to be a lot easier to get into. They have been raising the admission standards slightly every few years. I came from a community college and had a 3.6 gpa. Had an above average SAT score and high ACT score. Apply, you'll probably get in. |
