The University of Texas Austin - How to Get into Undergraduate UTAu
</a>
Study study study and keep your grades up in high school. Get good test scores. When you get to UT, take as many placement exams as possible, you can clep out of hours.
It's definately getting harder to get in to UT. I would suggest taking as many AP classes in high school as you can and staying in the top 8% percent of you graduating class. Top ten percent doesn't cut it anymore with the growing population of people trying to get in.
The state of Texas guarantees admission to any public college or university to students who graduate in the top 10% of their high school class. I was in the top 4% of mine, so getting in was really not an issue for me.
