I applied. I had a 3.6 GPA from another university, so there was really nothing I had to do. Automatic acceptance.

Make sure to take AP Physics, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, and AP Calculus AB&BC in high school in order to prepare for real college courses. THIS IS A MUST. Otherwise, your very first year at UT Dallas will be a living hell.

Just apply if you're even somewhat intelligent and looking for something different. It will be a bit of a challenge but if you think you can make your own fun, you can get a paid undergrad and a degree that in a few years will be impress employers and other colleagues.

It's a tier 3 university. I think students should have no difficulty getting in, except for the exceptionally poor performance of the admission office.
If you want an easy and cheap way, transfer from a community college.
