The selection process is very personal. They try to really get to know you and make sure that the program is the right program for you, and that you're the right person for the program. The audition process is very simple, you schedule a time to come in and you perform for a panel of faculty members. Based on your audition you may get a certain amount of financial aid also. They give you a mini-lesson with the applied instructor that you would study with if you end up going to VCM.

Easiest audition - you sit in front of a panel of 3 judges.

And if you screw up your audition because you suck, don't worry. You'll still get it. Just make sure during the interview that you convince them how much being a teacher means to you.

Students are accepted by audition. The admission process is rather simple. All you have to do is fill out an application, write an essay, and audition.
