The application was just the standard "fill you your info and prove to us that you can write decently well" thing that most schools do. Valpo's admission rates have been going up every year, and as long as you have decent grades you'll have no problem getting in. If you excelled academically in high school, you'll get good scholarship money.

Valparaiso University has a high acceptance rate, but is still considered a selective to very selective school because the quality of the applicants is very good. Furthermore, it is currently in a growth mode and expanding in size--a condition for which most schools can only hope. US News does not even "weight" a school's acceptance rate very much because what matters is not the percentage of acceptances but the quality of the students admitted. Valparaiso's students are serious about academics and their futures.

Apply for scholarships because God knows Valpo is ridiculously expensive. Show leadership and try to do your best on the SAT and ACT.

All I did was just apply, and I guess I had the grades to get in.
