As long as you're willing to pay the absurdly high tuition rate you probably won't have much trouble being accepted. If you can't get into Wagner good luck getting into anywhere else.

I sent in an application with an amazing creative essay about saving my school from an alien invasion (to show that my greatest accomplishment was indeed my writing).

Wagner is interested in the education of the whole person. An interview is heavily weighted in the admissions process as the school wants students who are personable and destined for success. Certain programs within the college require an interview. If you think you might not get accepted, an interview is your best bet.
