While there are definitely a lot of "dorks" here, Wash U isn't just concerned with grades- that is easily visible in the student body. Most of the students here possess some unique quality- something that set them apart from the rest.
If you are thinking this is your safety school (and reaching for the Ives)--WashU knows that. So if you are overqualified and you REALLY want that acceptence letter. Talk to admissions, visit, etc... woe WashU. Because if you just fill out the app and have SAT 1500 or ACT 34 etc, WashU might not take you. Also, true---WashU does have a few people who didn't get into the Ives. However, Ives rejects is not a nice term.
