When I was applying to colleges I was super stressed about it. I wanted to go someplace good and I needed to get some scholarship money or financial aid to be able to afford it. Sure, Wesleyan paid a lot of attention to me. Looking back, I can see that it was because they were desperate for students and not that they actually wanted me.

If you apply here, you will probably get in. Do yourself a favor. DON'T!

Honestly, getting in is coolFeb 20 2014Other
Honestly, getting in is cool. They make you feel great while applying. However, if you recall when Mercedes was being assembled by the Dodge plant... yeah those cars fell apart quickly and had a very high cost of repair and purchase. That is how I feel at Wesleyan, I paid over $20K for a year here and it seems to fall apart a little more as I remain. Just keep in mind they are selling you something.

If you wish to attend a school which practically guarantees the dismissal of all interpersonal issues and the invasion of personal space without an accompanying concern for your living situation, by all means, apply.

I wrote a great essay and submitted a lotFeb 25 2006Perfomance Arts
I wrote a great essay and submitted a lot of extra-curricular info... This helped because the school likes handing out scholarships like candy. seriously. Most everyone here has at least one scholarship... I have 5 currently. all from the school. be wary, though, because each one comes with requirements that you have to meet in order to keep it. Like being involved with 4 theatre shows to maintain a theatre scholarship... and you've just got to think "$500 for 4 theatre shows? not worth it"
