dont party in high school, and you should be good.

Its not too different than getting into other colleges. Just make sure your essay is top-notch. Its easier for males to get in that females. Wheaton likes a 50/50 gender mix and more girls apply than guys. The average female ACT is 2 points higher.

I made high grades in high school, and was the head of a few student clubs and organizations. I served on my church leadership teams and went on mission trips. Also, I led and attended Bible studies. Wheaton wants well-rounded students and a well-rounded student body. Some of admissions depends on you, and some depends on who else is applying. Also, it doesn't hurt to have alumni in the family or alumni recommendation letters.

They say it's hard and getting harder, but it's nowhere close to Ivy League (that's why "The harvard of christian schools" is the dumbest nickname, but you hear that here a lot). It's crucial to be a religous person (people get turned down on this point all the time). They try to get 1-1 male/female ratio but more females always apply, so chances are better for guys.

I had to audition as a musical performer, as well as present a good academic portfolio. Also an interview.

I would recommend working hard in HS. :) Some people take a lot of APs and try to graduate early because Wheaton does cost quite a bit. Also, if you come in with APs, you can test out of some classes and have more time for other classes you might be interested in. I didn't take any APs and I've really enjoyed all the required Gen. Ed. courses. Either way it works.
I would also recommend applying as early as you can do without stressing out. :) And, because I am a Christian (Wheaton is a Christian college) I recommend bringing the decision of college before the Lord. Don't stress out about it, but pray and seek His direction, because He knows where He will bring you. Maybe that's Wheaton, maybe it's somewhere else, or maybe not college at all. :) I don't think one is better than another - it's different for different people. Hope this is helpful!
History/Histories (art history/etc.)
Wheaton is a difficult college to get into, and there is much competition. Fortunately, Wheaton tries to look at the whole person as much as possible when considering acceptance, rather than just GPA and standardized test scores. It requires a few essays and two letters of recommendation (one from a teacher and one from a pastor). Also, an interview is not required, but recommended. I did not have an interview, but I had done very well in my grades and community volunteering prior to applying. My only advice is to work hard, and realize that acceptance is based on more than grades, so do not be afraid to apply if you think that your scores aren't at the top.
Communications
It's much easier to transfer into Wheaton than to get in as a freshman. Also, its SIGNIFICANTLY easier for males to get in than females, at least as freshmen. Make sure your essays are sincere (or insincere, whicever works best) and well-structured. That can be a killer for some of the applicants. And do the interview if possible.
Art & Design Department
It is important to Wheaton that you are continually striving to do the best you can, and are focused on learning. Work hard at the most competitive level your high school offers, but also make sure to round out your academics with other activities: sports, music, volunteering, etc. Actively knowing or searching for spirituality is important to Wheaton, and you will be expected to confront and articulate your experiences in your personal essay. I recommend visiting Wheaton and staying in a dorm for a night or two- most likely, your time there will be typical of a weeknight or even weekend (it pretty much all runs together here).
