Very hard to get in unless you are a minorityApr 08 2017Business - Management and Administration
Very hard to get in unless you are a minority. If you are not a minority, must be top of your class. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. There are other state schools that are much better for the same money.
To get in, I had average high school gradesApr 17 2015Biology
To get in, I had average high school grades and was involved in activities. If you want to get in you need to shoot for a B average student in high school and do some sort of activity. If you have to you will get accepted through the adp program.
Anybody can get into West ChesterJan 29 2015Computer Science
Anybody can get into West Chester. Just apply and you get accepted. I got into Drexel but decided to save money and go to West Chester first. What a complete waste of time. I should have saved even more money by going to DCCC and then to Drexel. Thanks for wasting my time and money West Chester!
We're becoming increasingly competitiveJan 23 2015Physics
We're becoming increasingly competitive. I wrote the optional essay, and my SAT scores were very good. I also talked to the head of the department I wanted to go into. (I don't know if he put a good word in for me or not.)
Make sure you apply early! Seriously! If you're not certain you're going to get in, make sure your application is in by October! This actually goes for all rolling admission schools. As the spots fill up, the bar gets raised higher and higher. If you can, try and have a conversation with the admissions people, it's good to have a face behind an application.
Another reason to apply like yesterday. The honors college and most of their scholarships get dived out before Christmas.
And finally, if you don't get in, go and talk to people. I cant tell you how many people I've talked to (from the music school especially) that didn't get in academically but got in musically. If you go and talk to the head of your department and they want you to come, they oftentimes can get you in.
Yay. college.
Good luck buttercups. ;-)
