While your grades and test scores have to be high to get in, Webb's small size allows it to be a little more personal in its selections. One of the most important parts of your admission is an interview with the school's president, which can last anywhere between a half hour and an hour (unlike other schools, where it consisted of 5 minutes with an admissions counselor). I've seen cases where a student who seems apathetic and lazy, but has higher grades, will be passed up for a student who may have lower grades, but is still bright and seems ready to make an effort and be involved.
