This school takes anyone with a decent SAT score and a HS diploma because they expect a good portion to drop out or transfer after the first year. This happens (mostly likely) because most majors here are rather technical, or that the person doesn't find the major they want here. I recommend you try your best on the SAT and apply early (also because housing is getting more and more difficult to get).

All you need to do to get into this school is to make sure that you have taken some good maths courses in high school, dont fail anything, and take ur SAT's. Your SAT scores do not even need to be that high. Having a score of around 1000 can get you in fine.

Students applying here should always include a personal essay. These are great for reviews to better understand a student during the application process. Although, sometimes not being included in the process itself, this essay can be forwarded to the professors in the applied major for future reference. It allows the student to get his/her name out there before attending.
Be positive. If you want to go here, make it known that you want to go here. Students that don't make the effort to take a tour or find out more information, tend to be less excited about being here.
