A 3.0 and decent SATs should get you in. McDaniel is known for taking in students with mediocre grades/scores and morphing them into critical thinkers/scholars, so if you can demonstrate you want to go to college for the learning they will most likely let you in.

For me, the interview process was key because I had done poorly in one of my high school classes. However, I think that I would have been admitted anyway, seeing as the college admits about 75% of its applicants. Write a decent essay and don't completely screw up your SATs or grades, and you should be fine. Obviously, schools get more competitive each year, but it is not too far of a reach to get into McDaniel.

Like all schools - make sure you get everything in on time and write a good essay, this school probably admits everyone who has at least a 2.9 and a 1000 on their SATs.

I of course completed and sent in my application on-time. I did not have high SAT scores by any means, but I was accepted at every school I applied to, which includes St. Joseph's in Philadelphia, Elizabethtown, and Gettysburg...to name a few. I would definitely recommend to any high school students applying to college to HAVE INTERVIEWS at the colleges you are interested. Interviews are key. Not only will it give the college a chance to meet you, but you will get a feel for the personality of the administration.
