| | McDaniel lets in a pretty large number of applicants- I didn't have great grades through much of high school, but worked hard in my senior year, and they did take that into consideration. As long as you don't mess up horribly in one area or another, you should be fine.
A 3.0 and decent SATs should get you in. McDaniel is known for taking in students with mediocre grades/scores and morphing them into critical thinkers/scholars, so if you can demonstrate you want to go to college for the learning they will most likely let you in.

For me, the interview process was key because I had done poorly in one of my high school classes. However, I think that I would have been admitted anyway, seeing as the college admits about 75% of its applicants. Write a decent essay and don't completely screw up your SATs or grades, and you should be fine. Obviously, schools get more competitive each year, but it is not too far of a reach to get into McDaniel.
Political Science|| Mar 16 2009 | It's fairly easy to get in. If your scores are high enough, you don't even need to write an essay. Have good grades, decent scores and write a good essay anyway just to be safe. Show involvement outside of class. The usual.
