I didn't do very much to get in here. It was pretty easy, and they really want to bring up enrollment so they can waste even more money, so they'll probably offer you a nice scholarship if you're an above average student. They like uniqueness, particularly in the common app essay. Don't be surprised if your essay makes a bigger difference here than at other schools. They'll probably mention what they liked most about you in your acceptance letter.

I have fairly high SAT scores, and I played hard to get with the university to get in. I really wouldn't advise you come here unless you're white and quite wealthy, and looking for a rather standard meet-market kind of university experience.
If you are, then just make that clear.
Basically, the university assumed that since I have light skin and come from the wealthy suburbs that I'm a certain kind of person--their kind of person. I'm clearly not.
That's making things rather difficult at the moment.
What's worse is that other students seem to assume the same things about me that the university did when they accepted me into the school...and it's making me miserable.
