Get on the list of people who are interested. If you have decent scores on exams, you will probably get a free application, wont have to write an essay, and get a decent merit scholarship.

B students can get in, extra curriculars and community service help, actually talk or interview with admissions person, they really do take the whole person into consideration.

I did horribly on my SATs, but I had a high GPA in high school along with a lot of activities and clubs. I personally think that the most weight is on your admissions essay, so write something that is unique (so you stand out), but also something that will really showcase your personality. Just be yourself.
