Nothing, they hand out scholarships like candy because, a) they don't spend any money on improving student life, and b) they know their college is worth half of what they charge.
My mother went here so that was a sure way to get in, but having good test scores and GPA and being high in your ranks is a sure way to getting in.
If you are an academic nut ~ do a sport, community service, or something to be involved because it makes you look like a well-rounded person.
If you are an athletic person ~ keep up your grades and your athletic ability. If your not either take the advice from both . :)
Once you get in i recommend you sign up to spend a night with a student. This way you know the campus and can judge some people for yourself.
