I admit that the only reason why I wentJun 24 2003PreMed and Medical
I admit that the only reason why I went to USD was because they offered me a very good financial aid package. I never even bother to visit the campus. However, coming to USD, I have met a couple of students who surprised me...I would never think universities would accept MORONS like these. So despite my high gpa and accomplishments in high school, I realized that if I knew where I was going back then, I would have slacked just a little and make my life easier. So my advice is to just make decent grades...they don't have to be excellent and do just a couple of extra-curricualar or two should be fine and you're in. Hope this helps.
ACT: 20 Female
It's not very difficult to get into the collegeJun 06 2003Perfomance Arts
It's not very difficult to get into the college itself, it is, however, very difficult to be accepted into the theatre or dance program. If you want to be an actor, there are 2 options. You can either get the BA in Theatre with a concentration in Theatre Performance, or you can get the BFA in Acting which is the waaaay more intense version, and waaay harder to get into. 1 in 6 people get into the BA in Theatre w/ the Theatre Per. concentration. Out of those people, 1 in 10 get into the BFA in Acting. That's how difficult it is, hehe. Basically, you just better give a damn good audition if you want to be accepted. Also--for the acting program--, they look for actors who give a realistic performance, a bit like film acting. They don't go for that fake and stage-ish acting that some people do.
