I wouldn't know yet, but I heard that you need to maintain a high G.P.A. and get a good ACT score. If there is anything else that is helpful to get in, please post!!

I applied and also got a letter of recommendation. Don't plan on getting in with less than a 3.5 GPA and a 26 ACT.

Good grades and high test scores but you can get in easier if you go to UVSC and then transfer. Doesn't require high grades in high school just at UVSC which is easier than high school. Not being mean but five of my roommates transferred from UVSC and they said it was easier than high school. This was a big adjustment for them though because UVSC is just not on the same playing field as BYU. Just being honest.

Just having good grades and high board scores is not enough to get into BYU. They're interested in well-roundedness, especially as manifested in extra-curricular activities and church/community service.

My ACT score of 27 was about average for getting in to BYU at the time I applied. Alot of people get in with ACT scores a lot lower than mine. Because the school has religious affiliations they are looking for students with a service orientation and high ethical standards. In your essays you can stress any community or church service you have done. Maybe tell of times you made a decision to be honest. Everything in the school: teacher/student relations, testing, etc is based on integrity. Good luck! Its worth the application.

Competition to get in is a little fierce, but it is worth the attempt. They will accept SAT or ACT but prefer ACT.
