Act really mormon. If you have any kind of diversity, especially ethnic, milk it for all it's worth, they will accept you with very low scores and give you a full-ride scholarship.

If you get in and you are feeling that maybe it is "not what it is all that it was cut out to be" then GET OUT WHILE YOU STILL CAN.
If you have a great time, then i am happy for you. consider yourself lucky that you did not draw the short stick

I did my best in high school, and applied early. I maintained a high GPA and did decent on the SAT and ACT. I was involved in numerous extracurricular activities and leadership postitions as well. Also, apply for housing before you even apply to the school (no later than that June before).
