Brigham Young University Provo - How to Get into Undergraduate BYU
</a>
Go to church, no matter what church it is. Spritual and religious attendance and key. BYU would much rather have a smart religious man, than a brilliant atheist.
Start being smart early in high school; go to seminary if LDS; get your application in EARLY. Start preparing everything prior to when they start accepting applications. IF you get wait listed and accepted to start in the summer not fall, you can always petition the admissions office by sending them a letter and giving a legitimate reason as to why you need to start in the fall. (IE, "my dad doesn't have a job, and so I need to work for the summer to earn tuition money"). If you don't get in at all, consider the other byu schools and even consider the Salt Lake Center, where you can start taking your generals and transfer after a semester or two.
