Because of AIU's for-profit nature, getting in is relatively easy. Although it is easy, there are minimal admissions standards. To be admitted into the Bachelor's program, one must have 1) an Associate Degree from an accredited college/university and 2) write an essay on how an online degree will help them and why they think they have what it takes to make it through. Other than that, if you have a pulse and the ability to pay, YOU'RE IN!

Getting in is easy - it's trying to resolve issues with student advisors and instructors that's the biggest nightmare. I consider myself intelligent, the students you work with in group projects are morons!

They really take anyone these days. I mean they actually told me to tell my friends and their friends about the college. Its like if you can breath and have a bank account, you can attend AIU

Anyone can get in. If you have cash or can get financial aid, you are in. They want your money.
Other
If you are out of options, and you cannot find any other program to attend then just give them a call. They will work and work to make sure they sign you up. But beware, once they have signed you up help will not be forthcoming. You will also discover once you have graduated that other universities are not very quick to recognize the work you have put into the degree from this school. Employers feel the same in my experience. The school will assure you that this is not the case, however I am living it as I type this.

I called, filled out an application, and worked with Financial Aid. That's about it. This school will accept anyone.

Fairly easy, But Because of the online programs fast pace they are little picky about who they choose. when you are writing your essay to get in Aiu you should stress the importance of education in your life and your commitment to excellence in your school life. Make sure you let them know that you are a determined person and will hard to excel in the program whatever it takes.
