Getting in was really really easy. The school currently has very low enrollment (under 130) so they let in almost anybody with a portfolio. However, I did attain many incoming scholarships due to my having a good portfolio based on strong AP design and observational drawings work, and a 4.0 GPA in high school.

I submitted a portfolio and by dumb luck put together the right kind of portfolio. You want your portfolio to be very much fine art. Have a self-portrait (they love those to death) and a landscape drawing to show you can draw. Then throw in some variety as far as media and try to make it seem deep. If you put a painting, photography, printing, scratchboard and a sculpture out of kitty litter, they'll love you for all the experimenting. I think the secret to me getting an entrance scholarship was showing no signs of being an illustrator.

Don’t try to get in!! That is my advice. All I did was show some drawings from high school and they took my money as quickly as possible. The classes are complete jokes, most of the professors are AAC rejects that couldn’t make it in the real world, and most of the time you will question exactly why you got out of bed to sit through classes that have no point.
