Some of the tasks the selected student (must use internship to earn college credit) are as follows: Operations: -assisting with setup of entire venue for each specific show during the 2009 concert season.  This includes placement of fencing, bike rack, banners and tents among many other things. -maintaining employee scheduling -maintaining and updating scheduling software -assisting guest services relations -maintaining information to be dispersed before and after each concert -assisting with recycling program -other tasks that will come up throughout the season. Production: -Assisting production manager with all day to day production needs -setting up/maintaining offices and dressing rooms for scheduled performers and tour employees -assisting show runners with any show day tasks -running for shows if needed -maintaining backstage inventory -other tasks that will come up throughout the season. If you are interested in one day working in the concert industry, this internship will definitely give you a good outlook on how the industry runs and what it takes to be successful within it.  The selected student will be one that is a hard worker, mindful of their surroundings and most importantly, has a desire or interest to work within the concert industry after college Intern hours are Monday through Friday and all day on show day (about 15-20 shows per season).  Hours are negotiable according to student's schedule.  This internship has the potential to pay for work done on show day only.  Internship begins in late May or earlier according to student's schedule.
