Date Posted: May-27-09 Company: The Celebrity Cafe Phone: 516-812-8611 Email: dominick@thecelebritycafe.com Majors: Any Offered During: School Year Description: TheCelebrityCafe.com, the Internet's longest-running entertainment magazine now in its 12th year, seeks an eager web production whiz looking to work on design, creation and other aspects of web production.  We are seeking to hire new employees via the intern process.  Candidates should be detail-oriented and highly communicative, with the ability to work independently, think critically and solve problems.  We seek someone who possesses some project management skills, can dealing with bug reporting and workflows, and is self-motivated with a sharp attention to detail.  Candidates should have a passion for web design and a desire to keep learning and produce great work.  This is an off-site, unpaid position so they should be independent workers.  Candidates should be familiar with the basics of graphic design and web design.  We seek someone who is proficient with the use of keyword searches, and has strong HTML and MySQL skills, plus strong table-less web page design skills using CSS and HTML.  It's preferred, but not neccessary for candidates to be well-versed in PHP, Photoshop, or Illustrator.  Experience using DHTML, XHTML, JavaScript and XML is strongly preferred, as well as experience using Flash, working on community sites, and strong interest in web technologies, platforms, trends, and standards.  The ideal candidate will have a BA in Computer Science (or equivalent) or Graphic Design, at least 2-3 years experience, and an online portfolio.  Requirements: Look at job description How to Apply: Email resumes to dominick@thecelebritycafe.com Unpaid
