I am very well satisfied with the education that I recieved in the Mechanical Design program (A.A.S. '84) at Sauk Valley College. I just wish that I had gone directly to Sauk Valley after graduating from high school instead of wasting my time at ISU and NIU (those degrees never even got my foot in the door.)
While I was there the drafting and mechanical design program was well organised, small, and I recieved much more personal attention than I ever got at a state university. My credits from other universities transfered without any problems.

While I am currently between assignments that is not the fault of my training, but is the result of the state of the industrial economy. I have been able to work in the field of engineering for over 18 years largely as a result of this degree. It also enabled me to pass the ADDA certification test for Certified Drafter.
