I've heard horror stories about other Christian colleges that try to control you and every aspect of your social life. Lee doesn't do that. Other than some of the fundamental Christian college rules (no sex, no opposite sex people sleeping in the same bed, no alcohol, tobacco or fireams on campus) They pretty much stay out of your life. You're allow to go to movies, vacations with boyfriend/girlfriend, etc., leave campus whenever you please. Curfew only applies to freshman and is midnight during the week, 1am on weekends; anyone else can stay out all night every night if they want. My professors are very friendly, approachable, and willing to go far to help me if possible. While some of the courses quite frankly suck, and not relevant to the major, I feel that for the most part my education has been well rounded. Lee is fully accredited, and you will be able to get into a decent Grad school with a degree from this school. (I'm going to the University of Alabama for grad school after I graduate.. no problems getting in at all)The surrounding small city of Cleveland, TN doesn't offer much, but Chattanooga is only half an hour's drive away, and Knoxville is an hour. Southeast tennessee really is a scenic place with a lot of outdoors-type activities available in the nearby Cherokee national forest and Ocoee/Hiwassee rivers. The campus itself is a beautiful place and a lot of money has been spent over the past few years to beautify the buildings and grounds. Approximately 3,700 students are enrolled, as of summer '02.I would attend here again. Good school, good people, good atmosphere. |
