Statistical Analyzer:

The Samuel Ginn College Of Engineering at Auburn is very prestigious and well ranked program nationally. This site has the college's URL wrong(like many other things) its at eng.auburn.edu.

The Electrical/Computer/Wireless Engineering programs are consisitently in the top 20 with our microelectronics fabrication program in the top 5. Personally, Im specializing in Telecom/Wireless and have already got a job with BellSouth my freshman year as Co-OP. The Co-Op program here is phenomenal as it gives virutally any serious engineering student a leg up on the competition. The faculty is undergraduate minded, meaning you'll understand the curricul once you go through it.

Auburn has a great academic atmosphere and I think the atheletic side is a sweet bonus. We see ourselves along with Georgia Tech and and University of Florida as the pre-emiminent engineering schools from the south.

As for the rest like MSU/ Univ of ALabama(the stigma of alabama begins and ends here) and the rest, mediocrity is a staple. Ive traveled to these schools and their engineering programs consist of one building with differant sections dedicated to different fields.

If you geared for undergraduate engineering career Auburn is great, and well respected, we are coming up in the graduate field but are no where at the stature of Georgia Tech.

PS. You can gain entry into the program easily, its called pre-engineering but you'll have to pass hard weed out classes to actually enter the program.
