CMTC is a good place to start your college education, or if you are just looking to learn a trade, like Automotive Technology. I'm a Liberal Studies major, and it had always been my plan to go on to a four-year school. Transferring is not turning out to be easy or fun, but I still don't regret choosing to start at CMTC. I've made some really good friends here, both with other students and the faculty. Many of the instructors have done a LOT to help me, whether I'm in their class or not. My high school education wasn't very good, and I didn't think I could get in to a good college, or even if I had (by some miracle), I wouldn't have been prepared. CMTC has given me the background I needed. Some of my courses haven't been very challenging, but others have (Speech and Pre-Calculus come to mind), and the instructors were always willing to help if a student asked. The social life at the school and in Auburn does suck, but you're only here for a couple of years—and Portland's only a forty-five minute drive south. |
