I love it here at Purdue. The industry connections and reputation are simply amazing. Already in my freshman year I have had several large companies inquiring about me and asking for my resume. I will be working at a large aircraft engine company beginning in my soph year. I don't feel this would have been the case if I had went to UIUC or IU.

The social life here is pretty good as long as you know some people in frats, otherwise there are always sporting events to go to every night. You will find a way to have fun, even if you have no frat connections.

Coming to a big university, I was kind of expecting to be just a face in the crowd, but that's not the case. I am in the Freshmen Engineering Honors program, and both my advisors and my professors know me by name. This makes the size of the school feel a lot smaller and more friendly.

However, Purdue is very expensive for out of staters, so if you aren't in engineering or you're not committed to engineering, go someplace else.
