AIU is a great school!! The key success at This School or any other is to be proactive! The work at AIU in very intense . You are given assignment and you excepted to research the anwsers. Aiu does teach you the Basic concepts so that you understand what you are learning rather regurgating infomation that they tell and not understanding why this is the anwser. I have been tother schools and some them do not give the attention AIU does to updated informaton and programs ( some IT program are teaching cobal and pascal). All the programs teach updated information (access 2000,Sql server 2000,c++.net,VB.net etc) The faculty here is excellent they will go above and beyond the call of duety in most cases to make sure you understand the material. I had one teacher Alan grayson who actually called me to make sure I understood the material and offered his help anytime! To relly describe the university I would have to say it is a unique university the focuses on concepts and research of currently used software rather than theory that is usually taught in similiar universitys. The only down fall to this unversity is that the school does nothae much of a reputation good or bad. So this may be a problem later when trying to get into a gradute school other that the one that AIU provides. Another problem AIU is they are a profit orientated university first and foremost, but the curicculum does not suffer it actually improves it. I believe this school become increasing more popular in comming years because they update there programs constantly to reflect the current trends in the Information Technology industry. They are constantly increasing the difficulty of there programs to make sure they are a producing quailified gradutes into the IT industy. I truly believe they are a good solid university you will learn your skills well at this school.

I also believe this type of school will become more popular in the up comming years. I would compare this school to a very good private school and honestly say that it is far superior to any state school. So I would recommend this university if you want to learn all the current trend in the industry and you want a good solid degree you can be proud of ,If you looking for a name and reputation this may not be the schoof for you being that it is a fairly new school and does have much of either.
