Statistical Analyzer:

There are a select group of professors who will actually prod and push students to think outside their typical closemindedness and open up to new and often radical ideas.

Sadly, most students could care less about those classes or any other. Typically they are here to get a piece of paper on the least work possible to make more money after school. They could care less about actually becoming educated.

Many hold a variety of sexist, racist, and homophobic opinions either overtly or more under the rug. It is probably one of the most homogeneous places I have been to in my life. High incidences of sexual assult like most college campuses these days. The group mentality at large events, particularly the one football game I went to, was to say the least very nerve racking and sometimes frightening.

Assuming you are an ethical, humane, open minded person, you will likely be shocked often in classes from what comes out of people's mouths.

The education system in this country is going downhill so I'm sure these problems are not exlusive to the "beautiful" campus of Miami. Good luck.
